ASDA is a UK supermarket specialising in groceries and home products. They used to be considered a "Cheap but don't buy the meat from there" supermarket, but in recent years has gotten considerably more expensive, rivalling prices of Sainsbury's and M & S without the high quality these two premium supermarkets bring.

ASDA used to be owned by US retail giant Walmart before the UK operations being taken over by the brothers Zuber and Mohsin Issa (Owners of EG Group) and private equity group TDR Capital.
