Disruption expected | Database Migration in progress!

Writing Things Down

Welcome to the First Ever GoMedia Group e-conference.

It is literally me just writing things down, but ey-oh it's not about a single update, but rather my plans for the future.

DESIGN ASPIRATIONS
The first set of goals is for the design of the website.

You may have noticed a number of design overhauls recently;

Quick Launch is testing a new QL5 design.
Media Otaku was spruced up with Glass design and is slowly moving, itself, to a redesign.
Whistle, Tabbit, Tabbit Notes are chilling atm.
I started a redesign for Shopping list, however, have had it on the backburner for the last year or so.
Business HUB is about to have an overhall, but not just yet.

But the biggest update overall, is update HUB.

And there is a reason for this.

Quick Launches updates have primarily been backend with more to come.
Media Otaku has been planned for backend CODE updates.
Shopping List was waiting for an update to design systems, as I think it will work nicely with Glass, not to mention I want to unify designs.
Tabbit and Tabbit Notes featureset is still being finalised, not to mention, I want to get a developer on board to develop a chromium extension that allows fpr additional functionality, not to mention the plans to split it off from Media Otaku.
Business HUB whilst it is going to be a core product, it needs to have all other products ready.

Lastly in this section, you may have heard something before;

UNIFYING DESIGN
My primary goal across all sites is to unify design schemes across all the sites. Distilling about 6 or 7 designs down to 3.

So this the first episode of a series of updates regaring future plans.

PS I know I've done a similar update but it wasn't very substantial. So this is a fixed version. Also, now I have a feature to add updates to multiple services at the same time :)

Shopping Lists is now available (And so is it's updates)

Sorry, we didn't have the updates page ready for shopping lists. It's almost ready, but there's still a little bit to go.

Shopping Lists (Free) is fully ready. Shopping Lists Plus, is almost ready, we;re currently finishing off the multiple lists function, not to mention the features we're planning on stealing from our sister site, business centre, found here: https://gmdi.page/BusinessCentre

Adding themes to SL Plus (With some premium exclusive ones too), Filters still not working

Themes:

We've added 4 premium exclusive themes, whilst also adding themes to the premium homepage. Now that themes are on multiple pages, we plan to make it global, meaning we'll be adding a settings page (eventually).

Filters:

I've been working on filters, it's still not working for the time being, sorry guys, gals and neither or both.

Update to SL Plus Evolved - Redesigned SL Plus

To make themes easier to design, as well as help future development of SL Plus all SL Pages (except SL Free's Homepage) will be getting a redesign. Externally there shouldn't be much different, but on our side it's essentially being rebuilt. Code, objects (Sort-of), everything. Whilst I will be reusing much of the same assets from the old SL plus, any code assosiated with those objects will be redone, and there maybe some extra changes. Themes will look a little different and the default theme has been completely changed, from our Dark Mode centric "SL Classic" to our bright and colour-focused "New SL Plus" theme. You can still change the theme back to classic but until we set up account settings, and account-wide theme settings, it will revert back to "New SL Plus" when on SL Plus pages. When we create the new Theme setting in accounts, this will become many times easier.

In themes, instead of the main section taking on a setting within the them, the default is now an 60% whiter version of what is behind. Buttons will now take on the theme's alternate colour. As such some themes will need readjusting both inside our web-building program, and directly to the image itself;

Theme Changes:

Changes already implemented;

Removed white alternate colour in "Workspaces" as our text is white in the menu.

A blank image set representing "New SL Plus" passes through the new colour scheme.

Changes to be implemented;

White needs to be reduced in CV Online theme, as it maked the black text in the page content hard to read.

Other changes we've made not related to theme:

Added content elements (but not yet connected) for Advanced Editor,

Added the new style of menu, based on Stacked Design Language, on all varients of SL Plus Home pages.

Fixed the basic uploader bug in SL PLus.
